About
CNR

Productions

Founded in June 2022, CNR Productions was created to establish Kenadie as a legitimate business entity and to build something larger than one performer.

Today, CNR Productions:

  • Employs entertainers

  • Produces recurring and large-scale events

  • Partners with venues, businesses, and organizations

  • Delivers complete shows with sound, lighting, and technical support

The name CNR stands for Clench N Release — the diaphragm movement that happens when you laugh. It sounds filthy. It isn’t. But the innuendo stays.

Let the writing speak for itself. Keep a consistent tone and voice throughout the website to stay true to the brand image and give visitors a taste of the company’s values and personality.

CNR Productions has worked in both queer and mainstream spaces, bridging audiences with humor, warmth, and approachability. Their work is rooted in respect for the room, the customer, and the audience — and in proving that drag can be smart, professional, and accessible without losing its edge.

Mission

We produce sharp, glamorous, and professionally run entertainment that makes people laugh, feel welcome, and come back for more.

The future of CNR Productions:

  • International bookings

  • Larger-scale productions

  • National pageantry

  • Expanded comedy and hosting work

  • Continued growth beyond local stages

This isn’t about being the loudest name in the room.
It’s about being the one people remember — and rebook.

CNR Productions Values

Michael has been part of CNR Productions from the beginning. While Kenadie brings the big ideas and the spotlight, Michael ensures everything behind the scenes runs smoothly — from tech and setup to execution and problem-solving. Together, they balance ambition with practicality and continue to grow the company one production at a time.

Kenadie St. James is a drag entertainer, comedian, and host with over two decades of experience on stage. Performing since 2001, she has built a career rooted in sharp wit, audience connection, and professionalism — delivering shows that are as well run as they are unforgettable.

Through CNR Productions, Kenadie produces and headlines live events across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, with a growing reach into national and international bookings. What began as a personal reinvention has evolved into a full-scale production company known for quality, reliability, and entertainment that actually delivers.

Behind the glamour

Every great production has someone making sure the cables are run, the lights are hung, and the star doesn't have to think about any of it. For CNR Productions, that person is Michael Joshua DiFruscio - and he's been doing it since the beginning.

Kenadie and Michael met in 2016 at the National Showgirl Pageant in Springfield, Missouri. She was there dressing a performer.  He was there as a promoter and clothing designer. They locked eyes. The rest, as they say, was inevitable.

What started as a love story became a business partnership that neither of them planned and both of them built.

Michael is the kind of person who doesn't need a formal education in something to figure it out. Woodworking, electrical wiring, lighting rigs, sound systems - give him five minutes and it's handled. When it came time to build CNR Productions into something real, he was already the obvious choice. He was already there.

The dynamic works because they let it. Kenadie is the star. Michael makes sure the star has everything she needs to shine. He absorbs the big ideas, reins in the ones that aren't ready yet, and quietly makes the ones that are actually happen. She'll be the first to tell you: he's the reason the show runs.

Off stage, their life is exactly what you'd expect from two people who produce entertainment for a living — loud, warm, and slightly chaotic.

They share their home with six Chinese Crested dogs: Figgy, Minnie, Ollie, Xeno, Luna, and Lupin. One of them has hair. The rest do not. All of them are convinced they are the most important person in the room, which, honestly, fits right in.

Kenadie throws a birthday benefit for the SPCA every year, builds elaborate Lego sets for fun, and hosts dinner parties that tend to go longer than planned. Michael fixes things, builds things, and has yet to encounter a problem he couldn't eventually solve. Together, they are equal parts ambition and stability — which is, it turns out, exactly what it takes to build a company worth building.

This isn't just a business. It's a life. CNR Productions exists because two people decided, separately and then together, that they were capable of something bigger. Turns out they were right.
